Stella Kapezanou

The Edit Gallery is pleased to present Pretty Little Crimes, marking the third solo exhibition of Stella Kapezanou at the gallery. The show brings together a new series of paintings and ceramic wall sculptures that explore the charged space between desire, vulnerability, play, and self-determination.

Kapezanou’s female figures move through worlds of intensity and light states of transition where the body becomes a vessel of rhythm, dynamism, and inner energy.

In this body of work, the artist approaches femininity as a field of identity continuously redefined by women themselves. Her protagonists claim space without fear or apology, resisting socially imposed roles and asserting a presence that is direct, sensuous, and autonomous. The new ceramic wall pieces extend this energy into three dimensions, functioning as concise, sharp, and often humorous gestures of femininity that translate the emotional tension of the paintings into sculptural form.
